Rick and Flo more than happy to have joined this spectacle
When Mike sent me the dates of Botswana Airshow in Matsieng I just had to smile: is it coincidence or good fate that this event takes place on the last weekend of our Botswana flying tour? Whatever it is I simply have to join it!
Thankfully Rick’s return flight to Amsterdam also leaves on Sunday, so we simply have leave our group a day early and head to Matsieng instead.
What we have seen and experienced there?
Many words cross my mind: fantastic, speed, performance, oldies but goldies, pilot gossip, fun, dancing, braai, partying, more than 5.000 visitors, more than 120 visting planes, nearly 200 tents on the camping side – all full with flying enthusiasts …..putting it into words would never do any of it justice.
So here is a short film about the 3 impressive, happy days at Matsieng.
